State Government

At the MD State Government Level Catonsville falls into two different legislative districts, Maryland Legislative District 12A and 47B. District 12A covers the more southern and eastern portion of Catonsville and 47B the more northern and western portion of Catonsville (see map). Because of this layout, Catonsville is represented by three members of the Maryland House of Delegates (the state equivalent of the U.S. House of Representatives), with one member acting as a representative of District 47B and two members representing District 12A. Additionally each district is represented by one member each in the Maryland Senate. Other elected state offices affecting Catonsville are those of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor at the executive level, and the offices Comptroller and Attorney General.
